Saturday October 11th Demopolis to Bobby's Fish Camp

We are now traveling with Lucky Lucky, people we have meet three different times now and new folks from Canada on Friendly Cove!  We ran hard at about 8.5 knots to get to Bobby's Fish Camp by 6 PM. 96 miles.  As the song say's "turn back the hands of time" this place was started in '56.  I doubt it has changed much.  We tied up the three boats on lets call it a face dock( kind of)  Just as we finished getting situated for Docktails  a 56 ft SeaRay  pulls up. We moved boats and rafted Friendly Cove to Lucky Lucky.  At 7 we all walked up the hill to Bobby's.  I had the Catfish dinner this consisted of 3 whole Catfish, French fries, hush puppy's and slaw. We took our own drinks! The food was to die for actually I heard my arteries clogging.  The most wonderful people we have met in ages.
This is must stop if you are ever even with in a 100 miles! It is in Bandon Springs AL. The Bama game was on so we all had to sing it is great to be from Alabama---Roll Tide!

Chalk bluffs and Greystone Manor

Friday October 10th

After grocery shopping we toured the Graystone Mansion which at one time was a 2500 acre plantation with about 250 in-slaved African Americans.  Unbelievable place and the wealth for that time was astonishing.  Late in the afternoon a group of us loopers went up to the pool to cool off and guess what drink Beer!  It was about 90 degrees and 90% humidity!  NOT COMPLAINING ! We took the Marina loaner car and when to an old home built in the mid 1800's for a great diner outside on the deck followed by a scotch at the 4 seat bar.
